Even if you don’t obtain coverage through Covered California, you may be affected by the planned repeal of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), also known as Obamacare.
Protecting those with pre-existing conditions, allowing young people to remain on their parents’ health plan until the age of 26, and subsidies to ensure that millions more in California can afford coverage—all goes away if the ACA is repealed.
Make no mistake; your healthcare is under attack from a Congress poised to repeal the ACA. Will you join the fight to save it?
A few things you can do:
- Contact your friends and family in states represented by Republican U.S. Senators. Tell them how important preserving the ACA is to your family’s health and the health of so many of their fellow Americans. Information you can use is available at: https://www.senate.gov/senators/contact/
- Contact California’s two U.S. Senators, Dianne Feinstein and Kamala Harris, to encourage them to keep fighting against the planned repeal. Use the following phone script to assist you.
Senator Feinstein: (202) 224-3841
Senator Harris: (202) 224-3553
Good morning/afternoon. My name is (INSERT NAME) and I’m a fellow Californian who does not want to see the Affordable Care Act repealed. Please keep fighting to preserve the ACA so we can all afford care. I appreciate all that you have done. Thank you.
