(Sacramento) - Assembly Speaker John A. Pérez (D-Los Angeles) hosted a public viewing of The Stanley Cup, hockey’s top prize and the oldest trophy competed for by professional athletes in North America, at the State Capitol. Tim Leiweke, President and CEO, AEG and Governor, Los Angeles Kings; Luc Robitaille, Hockey Hall of Famer and President, Business Operations, Los Angeles Kings; and Mike Bolt, representing the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto and the “Keeper of the Cup,” were on hand for the ceremony. “Like countless other fans I am delighted to welcome hockey back this weekend, and I can think of no better way to usher in the season than to host our NHL Champion Los Angeles Kings as they publicly display this historic trophy,” Pérez said.
