Hayashi named Legislator of the Year by the Center for Elders Independence

(Sacramento, CA) – Assemblywoman Mary Hayashi (D-Hayward) has been recognized as the ‘Legislator of the Year’ by the Center for Elders Independence.  Hayashi was selected for the award in recognition of her ‘visionary leadership and years of commitment to seniors of Alameda County."

The Center for Elders Independence provides community-based, long-term care in the East Bay. Their mission is to provide high quality, affordable, integrated health care services to the elderly, which promote autonomy, quality of life and the ability of individuals to live in their communities.

Hayashi serves the 18th Assembly District, which includes San Leandro, Hayward, Dublin, most of Castro Valley and Pleasanton, and a portion of Oakland, as well as the unincorporated areas of Ashland, Cherryland, San Lorenzo and Sunol.
