(Sunnyvale) – Assemblymember Bob Wieckowski (D-Fremont), Co-Chair of the Assembly’s Select Committee on California’s Clean Energy Economy, talked recently about the need to remain focused on job creation during a news conference at Bloom Energy. Assemblymember Wieckowski said Bloom Energy is a  prime example of how innovation, technology and risk taking can create high paying, green tech jobs and boost the state’s economy.     Hundreds Gather at Capitol to Protest Citizens United Ruling, Support State Resolution

    Sacramento - Hundreds of critics of the U.S. Supreme Court's controversial Citizens United ruling, rallied at the state Capitol Saturday afternoon to support an Assembly Joint Resolution urging a constitutional amendment to overturn the decision.  The resolution, AJR 22, jointly authored by Assemblymembers Bob Wieckowski (D-Fremont) and Michael Allen (D-Santa Rosa) seeks to overturn the controversial ruling that allows corporations to spend unlimited amounts of money from their treasuries to influence elections.     Assembly Approves Wieckowski Bill For Mediation Before Municipal Bankruptcy Filings

    SACRAMENTO – A bill by Assemblymember Bob Wieckowski (D-Fremont) to require local government agencies to engage in mediation overseen by a neutral third-party evaluator before filing for municipal bankruptcy passed the state Assembly this morning on a 43-0 vote. The bill now heads to the Senate. AB 506 will help public entities avoid a protracted, expensive bankruptcy process.     Wieckowski Bill To Boost Manufacturing In California Passes Key Assembly Committee
