In response to Governor Jerry Brown’s budget plan released today, Assemblymember Tony Mendoza (D-56) has issued the following statement:
“Governor Brown’s budget underscores the sad economic state in which California finds itself. But it also brings to light the importance of approving new revenues to close out the remainder of our structural deficit. A cuts-only solution will jeopardize California’s future by further slashing funding for education and harming those who rely most on the government to survive.”
