Assemblymember Shirley Weber invites you to nominate Women Leaders, who live, work or attends school in the 79th District and has given of themselves in significant ways to make society a better place to live. In March, during Women's History Month, remarkable women whose contributions improve the quality of life in their communities are celebrated. This tradition began in the State Capitol in 1987 and continues in both places as we also recognize amazing women here in the 79th Assembly District.
The Annual Salute to Women Leaders recognition ceremony in the 79th District will be held on Sunday, March 19, 2017, 3:30 PM at the George Stevens Senior Center. Remarkable women who represent the District will be honored for their efforts in different fields: from journalism to law enforcement, arts to education, health to environmental conservation, etc. As a result, Assemblymember Weber is planning an exciting celebration that will include great music, delicious food and warm fellowship.
To ensure that all distinguished women in the District are considered for recognition, Assemblymember Weber is asking for your assistance to select a nominee by carefully reading the eligibility requirements and filling out the enclosed nomination form. Please submit the nomination form by Friday, February 24, 2017.
Thank you in advance for your interest in honoring Outstanding Women Leaders in the 79th District. We look forward to seeing you at this important event.
