(Sacramento) - Assemblymember Al Muratsuchi (D-Torrance) and dozens of solar industry workers gathered on the steps of the State Capitol to kick off Solar Lobby Day, jointly sponsored by The Alliance for Solar Choice (TASC) and California Solar Energy Industries Association (CALSEIA). Assemblymember Muratsuchi said, “AB 2188, the Solar Permitting Efficiency Act, will create more solar jobs, contribute to California’s clean energy goals, and save homeowners money on their electricity bills. Today’s Solar Lobby Day epitomizes those objectives.” Assemblymember Muratsuchi’s district, Assembly District 66, is home to Verengo Solar which has grown 600% over the past 5 years and has added 1,000 new employees during that period.
