(Sacramento) – Assemblymember Shirley Weber (D-San Diego) led the State Assembly in a special adjournment in the memory of baseball and San Diego legend Tony Gwynn following his death at the age of 54 from cancer. After reciting the incredibly extensive list of baseball and humanitarian awards that were bestowed upon Gwynn, Assemblymember Weber said of Gwynn, “And most importantly, Tony, of all things, was a gentleman. A first class gentleman in the classroom and on the fields.” Here’s more from Assemblymember Weber in this Assembly Access video.
