SACRAMENTO, CA — Assemblymember Rick Chavez Zbur (D-Hollywood) convened his first meeting today after being selected by Speaker Robert Rivas to serve as the new Assembly Democratic Caucus Chair.
"I'm proud that Speaker Rivas appointed me to this important role on his leadership team, working to advance the collective priorities and vision of the Democratic majority in the State Assembly," Asm. Zbur said. "In this new leadership position, I look forward to assisting the speaker and the Assembly Democratic Caucus to solve the key challenges our state is facing and improve the lives of all Californians."
The Assembly Democratic Caucus Chair is part of Speaker Robert Rivas' leadership team and facilitates discussion and decision-making about Caucus priorities, elevates policy ideas, helps achieve consensus on key issues, and helps ensure members have the tools they need to achieve their goals.
Assemblymember Rick Chavez Zbur serves as the Democratic Caucus Chair for the California State Assembly and represents the 51st Assembly District, including Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Westwood, Santa Monica, and portions of Los Angeles.
