Assemblymember Mike Gipson (D-Carson) has released the following statement following the selection of committee assignments by Assembly Speaker Robert Rivas (D-Hollister):
“I extend my sincere appreciation to Speaker Robert Rivas for his thoughtful selection of committee assignments this week,” said Assemblymember Mike A. Gipson (D-Carson). “I intend to hit the ground running and offer my insight and passion to the Committees on Government Organization; Revenue and Taxation; Insurance; and Human Services. These appointments reflect my approach to legislating and addressing the diverse needs of my constituents. As an earlier announcement, I am honored and humbled to also serve as the Chair of the Assembly Arts, Entertainment, Sports, and Tourism Committee.
