Assemblymember Rodriguez Introduces Crucial Legislation to Establish the Extreme Weather Forecast and Threat Intelligence Integration Center

(Sacramento, CA) – Today, Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez (D – Pomona) introduced AB 277, which would require the California Office of Emergency Services (Cal OES) and the Department of Water Resources (DWR) to jointly establish and lead the Extreme Weather Forecast and Threat Intelligence Integration Center. This Center would be tasked with collecting, analyzing, and assessing extreme weather data and atmospheric conditions that could lead to major flooding, periods of extreme heat, or other dangerous and unhealthy conditions.
